Wow. It has been quite a weekend. In its favor, I will say the weekend has been nice and slow. It has not gone too fast, but it has not gotten to the point where it has seemed to drag on, either. Rather, it has been a nice, even pace. I took the boy home to the family, and no hair was pulled nor teeth gnashed. And he was invited back for Christmas, so I think things are looking good on that front. I did not manage to leave home without having felt like I needed to fly at one point, BUT we are both back and still have all our limbs.
We did a little Christmas shopping at the outlet mall in Terrell on the way back to school (and when I say "we did a little shopping," by the way, I mean "I spent half my two-day-old paycheck buying gifts for others I am muchly tempted to keep for myself but will wrap before tempation gets the best of me").
We watched "Treasure Planet" and "The Shawshank Redemption," both of which were highly entertaining in completely different ways. I cried at least once a day every day of this weekend, including today, and have yet to do any "work."
Life is getting more interesting with every passing hour, but I think it is looking up.
