Mi esposo and I went to England for two weeks to visit The Fam. I got to see Stonehenge, watch my husband fall most of the way down a large rock, and learn a few tidbits about our neighbors to the east. Thusly, I've complied the following lists for your reading enjoyment (and enrichment):
Top Five Things I'll Miss Most about England (until next time):
5.Seeing Andrew's side of the family a little more often than once every 1 1/2 years
4.The (mostly) cool accents
3.It's green, for Pete's sake!
2.A sense of history that dates back more than a few centuries
1.Fish and Chips (yummy)
Top Five Things I Learned While Abroad:
5."tor" ≠ "tour"
4."netball" ≠ "basketball"
3."bacon rashers" = "pork rinds"
2."twiglets" = "Marmite" (I'd forgotten from last time.)
1."Lorries" = "Mid-sized U-Hauls"
P.S.: Vacation pics can be found here.
