I've been catching up on books I haven't taken the time to read in recent years. Among them are the most recent Princess Diaries books, Size 12 is Not Fat (a murder mystery), At Home in Mitford (which is entirely too long but okay overall), and one of the many Stephanie Plum murder mysteries by Janet Evanovich. I highly recommend them all. Today, as I sat reading Visions of Sugar Plums, my soundtrack was a best of Ray Charles CD. I must confess that I just know Ray wrote these certain lyrics only because he know Andrew would one day think of these words when he thought of me:
Do I love you?/No one above you/Hold me tight/And make everything all right
Because the night time/Oh, is the right time/To be with the one you love now
and - of course -
When I'm in trouble and I have no friend/I know she'll go with me until the end
Everybody asks me how I know/I smile at them and say, "She told me so"
That's why I know, oh, I know/Hallelujah, I just love her so
