Thankful for relaxation, complication, hibernation, and irrational
seclusion, confusion, all my impurity and insecurity
Cause I know it's God just perfecting me
That's why today I take life as it comes...

India.Arie, 'Gratitude'
Pastor South-African-dude-who-(thank God)-is-not-John-Graves talked about joy today at Life Challenge. Between his sermon and praise and worship and the realization that God has not forgotten me or any of the prayers I have prayed, I spent much of today being overwhelmed by the beauty and awesomeness of the God God is. It takes a lot of emotion allatthesametime for me to be able to capture any of it on the page, be it poetry or song, and until today I had not written since the Mayer concert over a month ago. I can't even begin to truly express how astounded I was today that the Almighty, eternal, all-powerful God would not only love me enough to set me free from sin through the blood of His son, but would continue to bless me after my realization of that salvation despite the fact that I am completely underserving of such abounding grace and love. That's basically what I wrote about. Here're the lines I've got so far of one of the two I started about thirteen hours ago:
'Joy' doesn't even begin to describe the happiness that comes when I feel Your arms around me.
'Peace' isn't quite the word to illustrate the fullness of my heart when I worship You.
It's more like 'Hallelujah.'
It's more like 'Hallelujah.'

Peace out.
