Okay, people. I promise I do not always only use this blog for the purposes of ranting to my heart's content, as the last few entires may lead one to think. However, I do have one more gripe:
I was sitting in my apartment, just this afternoon, watching TLC's "A Wedding Story," as I often do. Occasionally, I will record it when I will not be home, but I do not do so on a regular basis. Anyhoo, I was minding my own business, talking to my roommates, who had just walked in the door with one roommate's boyfriend, and I got up and went into my room to put on my shoes so I could walk to work. As one episode goes off and another begins, the aforementioned boyfriend incredulously asks how many of these shows I have recorded. I respond that I do not have this one on tape and that it is on TV right now. He responds by saying, "That's even worse! They actually show this on TV."
My complaints, in no particular order, are as follows:
1. He does not live in my apartment, so he does not get to complain about what I watch on my TV.
2. He does not own the TV, so he does not get to complain about what I watch on my TV; I don't care if he doesn't like what I watch. If he wishes to complain to his girlfriend about it, that's fine, but I don't want to hear it.
3. If he does not wish to watch what I am watching on TV, he is free to go to another room or to leave the apartment: the choice is his.
4. When I want his opinion, I will give it to him, and even then, he should wait until I ask for that opinion before giving it back to me.
5. I do not come to his room and complain about what he watches on TV; I expect to be shown the same courtesy.
6. Grr.
