Look at me. I'm the king of New York!

I just watched Newsies for the first time, and I rather liked it. I probably would have appreciated it more if I had seen this Disney musical about a bunch of ragtag, orphaned, New York newspaper delivery boys who go on strike when the newspaper owner ups the price of the papers when I was a few years (or maybe a decade) younger. Still, it's good family viewing, and it ain't that often that a musical starring all male characters (at least one of whom is straight) comes along. And the score is super catchy. I'll be singing that I'm the king of New York for days to come (and probably worrying mi esposo).
Thusly, I give it a hearty 3.5 out of 5 and dub it "Fun for the Whole Family."
