Today's inner thoughts

are about the song, "Only what you do for Christ will last." Over the last ten years since I graduated high school, my ideas about what serving Christ looks like have changed drastically. I thought serving God was mostly about big, sweeping gestures of generosity, charity, mercy. Now, I realize the different ways we show our love from/of Christ to others span a wide spectrum but that they aren't weighed differently. I'm doing no less to serve God by being a stay-at-home mom to my boys than my parents-in-law are on the other side of the world, working with MAF. It's funny to me that my life now looks so different from the one I had planned but is no less satisfying. :)
