Has anyone coined the term "drunkblogging?"

You know, like "drunkdialing" or "drunktexting." Well I can assure you I'm not drunk right now, but I'm jetlagged, which I think feels similar, so how about some "lagblogging?"

We watched "Red" tonight. Funny movie. My husband highly recommends you see it and then tell all your friends how awesome it was. I think it's because one of his goals in life is to be an (perhaps inexplicably) eccentric older man. Also, he probably would like to be perceived as dangerous, or at the very least bad-ass.

England was awesome, and woefully short-lived. Andrew and I both wish American employers had the same ideas about yearly time off for holidays that English employers seem to have. As it is, we usually use most of his ten days a year at one time, to visit our England peeps (shout out!). And at the end of that time, it becomes tearfully obvious to us that we wish we could see them more than once a year. That said, we are thankful to God that we have even the short time we do, and that Mum and Dad do so much to make it possible for us to visit.

Also, we recently saw "Easy A," which probably deserves its own blog post. A funny movie, but one that hurt my feelings. Amanda Bynes plays a vicious, biting, almost hissing sort of "Christian." And yes, the whole movie portrays archetypes rather than real people, and yes I can take a joke, but "jokes" about Christians like that cut me to the quick. It hurts me that society sees us this way because of an unfortunately misguided and loudly outspoken few.

Also saw "The Social Network." It's a great movie, but expect to hate Mark Zuckerberg just a little bit when you leave the theater, even if you empathize with him.

I really want to read "Room," and it may be the first brand-new, hardback book I buy. Ever.

Chai's almost up. I think I hear my bed calling. Ciao for now.

Ten days off a year - that's SHOCKING! Was lovely to see you all and, yes, would love to be able to spend more time with you sometime. (maybe i could get my butt state-side one of these days...)
