Jesus's ministry during His physical time on Earth was about showing people the love of the Father. It wasn't about health care reform or staunch conservatism or making sure gay people don't have the right to marry. Sure, these things weren't an issue in His day. But ask yourself - honestly - and search the Scriptures for your answer: If He were here today, would He be primarily concerned about those things? As such, do your priorities truly reflect His. (Mine don't, but I'm working on it.)

Our pastor up here actually said something very similar to that in a sermon. I hope more hear it.
